Description
This cutter prepares samples for tensile testing of thin film 15 mm wide and 240 mm maximum length. The cutter produces 5 samples at a time. Other configurations of sample width can be supplied provided the maximum total width does not exceed 75 mm.
To use the cutter, the cutting mechanism is lifted from the base plate, the stock material is placed on the baseplate, and the cutting mechanism replaced. The cutting head is moved to the left hand end of the device, the handle is depressed and held down, while the cutting head is moved to the right hand end. The handle is released and the cutting mechanism is removed to reveal 5 perfectly parallel identical samples.
